Design and Simulation Tools

CATIA (Computer Aided Three-dimensional Interactive Application)

The dominant 3D CAD tool in automotive and aerospace. CATIA handles everything from conceptual design to detailed engineering to manufacturing — surface design for body panels, structural analysis for crash safety, and assembly simulation for manufacturing feasibility. Almost every major OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) and Tier-1 supplier uses CATIA. Proficiency is often a hard requirement in automotive design job postings.
